નન્દીશ્વરપ્રમથનાથમહેશ્વરાય ।
મન્દારમુખ્યબહુપુષ્પસુપૂજિતાય
તસ્મૈ મકારાય નમઃ શિવાય ॥ ૨ ॥

-સૂર્યાય દક્ષાધ્વરનાશકાય ।

भस्माङ्गरागाय महेश्वराय ।

जिनके गले में सर्पराज का हार है, जिनके तीन नेत्र हैं, जो अपने संपूर्ण अंगों पर भस्म रमाते हैं, जो नित्य, परम शुद्ध तथा दिगंबर (आकाश रूपी वस्त्र धारण करने वाले) हैं—ऐसे 'न' अक्षर स्वरूप भगवान शिव को मेरा सादर प्रणाम।

I offer salutations to Lord Shiva, the embodiment of the letter 'Na'; who wears the King of Serpents as his garland, possesses three eyes, is anointed with sacred ash, and is eternal, pure, and all-pervading space.

गंगाजल और चंदन से जिनकी पूजा होती है, जो नंदी और प्रमथगणों के स्वामी हैं, तथा मंदार आदि सुंदर पुष्पों से जिनकी अर्चना की जाती है—ऐसे 'म' अक्षर स्वरूप भगवान शिव को मेरा सादर प्रणाम।

I revere Lord Shiva, the embodiment of the letter 'Shi'; the auspicious one, who like the morning sun causes the lotus face of Goddess Gauri to bloom, who destroyed the haughty sacrifice of Daksha, whose throat is blue and whose banner bears the emblem of the sacred bull.
